TERMS OF REFERENCE
As Engineering Development Board, Ministry of Industries, Production
and Special Initiatives participates in international trade fairs,
the Engineering Pakistan documentary is being developed for the
international audience with a view to project the engineering image
of Pakistan, investor friendly business environment and the rapidly
growing economy. The terms of reference would be as follows:
1.
The documentary is intended for foreign audience, the quality
of footage should conform to international standards.
2. The
documentary will eventually form part of an interactive CD which
shall also contain directory of exhibitors and delegates
participating in Hannover Messe 2007, country information and
web-links of important organizations. The information shall be
provided by EDB.
3.Engineering Pakistan documentary shall be developed on DV CAM and
the final footage will be of 8-10 minutes duration will have a
voice-over in English, German and French languages.
4. EDB
shall provide a list of engineering companies to you for development
of footage of specified manufacturing/ assembly processes at the
premises of these companies, if your company is selected for
preparation of subject CD.
5. Your
team shall be required to travel to Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad
for the recording of manufacturing processes selected by EDB. The
team shall be required to take a footage of 30 minutes or more from
which the main presentation will be prepared. The companies shall be
short listed by EDB and if required, an officer of EDB will
accompany your team during shooting on the expense of EDB. The
traveling and boarding of the persons involved in the preparation of
CD will be the responsibility of your company.
6. The
CD shall be packed in a printed jacket and placed in a 6-8 page
booklet having information about Pakistan, the economy, potential
engineering sector and investment opportunities. The contents of the
brochure shall be worked out by your company with the assistance of
EDB.
7. During
the period of preparation of the ordered items, the authorized
officers of EDB shall visit your company premises to coordinate the
work progress.
8. The
documentary shall be reviewed by the OC and any deviation from the
specifications provided to you by the Organizing Committee shall be
liable to cancellation/ non acceptance by the authority and shall
result in penalization accordingly for the delay and cost.
9. Before
final packing, the ordered items shall be physically checked by
representatives of the OC and EDB, who shall give quality clearance
of the documentary and booklet.
10.The above mentioned items should be complete in all respect
latest by March 10, 2007, packed and delivered at Engineering
Development Board, Islamabad. The first cut is to be shown in second
week of February and second cut of the movie is to be shown to OC in
the third week of February 2007.
11.Your company shall be required to submit a bank guarantee in
favor of EDB an assurance of supply of above ordered items. An
advance payment of 50% of the total amount shall be sanctioned upon
provision of bank guarantee.
12 EDB shall accept the bill for final payment upon delivery of the
ordered items. |
